Patrick Roy (born October 5, 1965, in Quebec City) is a Quebecois ice hockey player and coach. Now retired, he played as a goaltender.
He then began a coaching career in the QMJHL with the Quebec Remparts from 2005 to 2013, then in the NHL with the Colorado Avalanche from 2013 to 2016. From 2018 to 2023, he was the head coach and general manager of the Quebec Remparts, and then became the head coach of the New York Islanders on January 20, 2024.
